Contemporary painter, Arnaud JOURNOU was born in 1981 in Brittany from a family open to the world, itself from Italy and Poland.
JOURNOU has been attracted to graphic art since his early childhood.
As a young draftsman, at the age of 14 he met Bernard-Marie LAUTE, a painter, photographer and filmmaker with a passion for modern painting. Thirsty for advice, he will then spend several days in his studio by his side. His influence will encourage him to persist. He quickly finds his universe, that of POP ART, on the border of Street Art and press cartoons, feeding on popular culture.

His creations are conceived as homages to life and also to femininity, carnal and sensual. In 2018, he met with success thanks to his collaboration with Christophe PETYT, the manager of the JACKSON family.
Exhibiting his colorful canvases in major galleries in Brussels, Paris or Dubai, JOURNOU also exercises his art in the customization of various products in the field of luxury, haute couture or even on sculptures. He signs artistic collaborations with prestigious brands such as PRIVATE HAUTE COUTURE, BMW and EVENTS FAMILY. Several artists use By Journou creations such as Alex Goude, Chris MARQUES for the design of his jacket on the TF1 set in “DALS”, the famous cook NORBERT or Pascal OBISPO who exhibits one of his paintings in his living room. Without forgetting the humorist JARRY who wears customized sneakers and Hélène SÉGARA who ordered a custom painting from him.
Painting is for him a means of expression and sharing. Whether his works are tasted, criticized or provocative, his art must be in motion and in effervescence.
Evy
Managing Director of SAS BY JOURNOU, Evy was born in 1985 in Belgium.
She grew up in the world of drawing and comics. First a school teacher for children, she arrived in France in 2009 and decided to resume her studies to turn to Human Resources. With her degree in hand, she worked for several years in this field. It is also at work that she meets Arnaud JOURNOU, who will later become her husband, and Julie PHILIPPE who will become his partner.
She grew up in the world of drawing and comics. First a school teacher for children, she arrived in France in 2009 and decided to resume her studies to turn to Human Resources. With her degree in hand, she worked for several years in this field. It is also at work that she meets Arnaud JOURNOU, who will later become her husband, and Julie PHILIPPE who will become his partner.
When they move in, she discovers Arnaud’s passion and talent in boxes. It was then that she encouraged him to return to the path of the arts. Following the creation of a collection, Evy decides to create a BY JOURNOU page and to send Arnaud’s portfolio to a gallery in Brussels. The collection sold out there in just a few weeks. It is then the rise of BY JOURNOU who does not stop and exhibits in Dubai, Paris, works for TF1…
Seeing the enthusiasm for the JOURNOU works and especially the pleasure that her husband takes in painting, Evy proposes to make it a profession in its own right. Accustomed to working in pairs, they naturally decide to create a partnership. Arnaud paints and Evy essentially manages international commercial relations, entrance fees to galleries, image and the deployment of BY JOURNOU’s image as well as all the legal aspects. With plans full of ideas, Evy imagines a flourishing future for her company.

Julie
Executive Assistant of SAS BY JOURNOU, Julie was born in 1996 in Caen. Following her studies, she obtained a license as Head of Business Units. His professional career first turned to commerce and then branched out to Human Resources. It was then that she met Arnaud and Evy. She discovers the Pop Art universe of Arnaud and is passionate about art. Julie was able to follow Arnaud’s evolving career from its very beginnings, in particular the creation of the Jacket by Chris Marques for Dancing with the Stars on TF1.
After carefully considering their project, Arnaud and Evy finally set off and opened SAS BY JOURNOU in February 2021. Julie was still working in the field of Human Resources at that time. During the summer of 2021 she received their call offering to join them in the adventure, she accepted and joined the company in October 2021.
